While we have been celebrating Eastbourne School of English’s 80th birthday with a 1930s themed party, we have also been working hard on the new ESOE website which has just gone live and shows we are not resting on our laurels! On Saturday 30 April 2016, Eastbourne School of English had a party to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the school. Eastbourne School of English is a Centre of Excellence

        Eastbourne School of English is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English as a foreign language. To obtain accreditation, the school must be inspected regularly and meet very strict criteria. ESOE hosts the TEN Admin Conference

This year the annual TEN Administration Conference was held at Eastbourne School of English. Administration staff from each of the The English Network (TEN) Schools gathered together for a weekend of information and exchanging ideas. Friday night was a relaxed evening at a local restaurant with a meal, drinks and a magician! ESOE has won an award for its recycling efforts! Recycling has become one of the most important issues in terms of the sustainability of our planet and its resources. It is estimated that 3-6 billion trees are cut down each year, this is not great given trees produce the oxygen that we breathe! Last week at Eastbourne School of English we hosted a group from Vantaa in Finland, they studied on a General English course for a week and the group was led by Elina who is the principal at the local adult education centre in Vantaa.
